Refund & Guarantees Policy

Because Chess Cheat Sheets products are digital products that are delivered immediately, they cannot be returned in the same way as a physical product.

For that reason, refunds are not generally available simply because you have changed your mind, purchased the wrong product, decided you don't need the resources, or have not used the product after purchasing it. 

However, we do offer refunds in certain circumstances as listed below, including where a 30-day guarantee is explicitly stated on the relevant product or sales page.

30-Day Guarantees

Where a product is advertised with a 30-day or similar guarantee, the guarantee is intended to allow you to genuinely try the product before deciding whether it is right for you.

To qualify, you must:

• Have purchased an eligible product that was advertised with a clearly stated guarantee.

• Have genuinely used and explored the product during the 30-day period.

• Have used a meaningful selection of the resources included, rather than simply downloading the files or briefly looking at one or two resources.

• Contact us within the applicable guarantee period and explain why, having genuinely tried the product, you do not feel it is right for you.

Upgrades, Upsells & Expanded Access

If you purchase an upsell, upgrade, bundle, or larger collection after your original purchase, any guarantee attached to the original purchase becomes void.

The guarantee applies to the purchase as originally made. You cannot purchase a smaller product, upgrade to a larger or more comprehensive version containing the same resources, and subsequently request a guarantee refund for the original purchase.

Likewise, purchasing or gaining access to a larger collection that contains the products you originally purchased does not make those original purchases separately refundable.

The guarantee is not intended to cover simple changes of mind, accidental purchases, purchases made without reviewing what is included, or situations where the customer decides they do not want to use the product after receiving access to it.

For example, if a product is designed to help you build an opening repertoire and you purchase it despite already being happy with your repertoire and having no intention of exploring alternative openings, that would generally be considered a product-fit or purchasing decision rather than a failure of the product itself.

Likewise, downloading or accessing a substantial digital library and subsequently deciding that you do not want to use it would not, by itself, qualify for a refund under the 30-day guarantee.

How guarantee requests are handled

If you believe you qualify for a 30-day guarantee, contact us at info@chesscheatsheets.com within the applicable guarantee period.

We'll ask you a few questions about how you've used the product and why you feel it wasn't right for you. This is simply to establish that the guarantee has been genuinely used as intended.

Guarantee requests are reviewed individually based on the circumstances and the information provided. 

Unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page, the 30-day period begins on the date of purchase. Requests made after the applicable guarantee period has expired will generally not be eligible.

Discounts & Promotional Pricing

Unless otherwise stated, purchases made using discount codes or promotions of 20% or less remain eligible for any advertised guarantee.

Purchases made using a discount code or promotion of more than 20% are not eligible for the 30-day guarantee.

Any specific guarantee terms stated directly on the relevant offer take precedence.

Tips

Optional tips or gratuities are voluntary contributions and are not purchases of digital products or services. Tips are therefore not eligible for refunds.

Products With Different Guarantee Terms

Some products may have different guarantee terms or may not include a guarantee at all.

The guarantee advertised on the relevant product or sales page takes precedence for that particular offer. Please check the terms of the offer before purchasing if you are unsure.

Any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase under applicable law are unaffected by this policy.

Exact Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the exact same product more than once, please let us know. We're not going to charge you twice for exactly the same product, and we will normally refund the duplicate purchase.

However, we are a small business and cannot manually review every order to identify potential overlaps between every product, bundle, promotion and repackaged collection. If you purchase a different product or bundle that contains some or all of the same resources as something you already own, this is not automatically considered an accidental duplicate purchase.

We make an effort to clearly describe what is included in each product, and where relevant, we explicitly identify when a new product contains resources from an existing product. Please check the product description before purchasing if you already own related Chess Cheat Sheets resources.

Problems With Your Purchase

If you're having a technical problem, cannot access your files, discover an error in the resources, or believe something is not working as it should, please contact us at info@chesscheatsheets.com.

We'll do our best to resolve the issue. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve troubleshooting, correcting the issue, providing an updated version of the product, or finding another appropriate solution.

Feedback & Improvements

We genuinely want Chess Cheat Sheets to get better over time.

If there's something you don't like about a product, something you find confusing, a resource you think is missing, or something you think could be improved, please tell us.

Where appropriate, we'll take that feedback into account when developing future updates. If we make a significant improvement to a product you've already purchased, we'll provide you with the updated version at no additional cost.

If you're having a specific problem with a product, please contact us before requesting a refund. In many cases we may be able to fix the issue, explain something that wasn't clear, or provide an updated resource.

Alternative Solutions

In some circumstances, we may offer an alternative product, additional resources, an updated version, or another solution where we believe it would better resolve the issue.

Any such solution is offered at our discretion and does not create an entitlement to an exchange or free upgrade.

Refunds & Discounts

Any refund will normally be calculated based on the amount actually paid for the relevant purchase.

Where a specific guarantee has eligibility requirements relating to the purchase price or offer, those requirements will be stated on the relevant product or sales page.
